Love me. Love me. Say that you love me.
I know you all have been waiting on the edge of your seats for my review of the Twilight movie…and here it is. I actually really enjoyed it overall. There are some super cheesy parts that are really bad, like really bad, but overall, it was a good adaptation. And I thought well-acted. Kristen Stewart was great as Bella. I think that they character developed for the movie is better than the one in the book. Movie-Bella had more kick and ur, pardon my pun, bite to her. I am curious to see how that plays out in the rest of the movies, considering all the stuff in the beginning of Breaking Dawn, which I won’t go into detail for those of you who haven’t yet read it. I thought that the Cullens were all cast well, but I didn’t like the interpretation of Emmet. A white homeboy? Really? The trucker sideways hats? The track suits? So not how I pictured him at all. And it was good to see Nikki Reed. I like her and think she can work it as Rosalie for the next three movies. My favorite though was Rachelle Lefevre as Victoria. She rocked it! And I love that white fur thing she wore during the movie (hopefully fake!) although it was kind of tattered by the end, but whatever. Can’t wait for more of her in the third movie! Her looks and facial expressions were just spot on. Oh, and obviously Robert Pattinson was all sorts of delicious to watch. His American accent wasn’t the best (did anyone else feel like he sounded like he was from Brooklyn?) but whatever, he is young, he can perfect it. Too bad Edward was British!! And his song that was in the movie? Brilliant. I am so downloading that today!
Anyways, lets see…so yesterday I had the day off due to a loooong NOW strategic planning retreat over the weekend and Miss Jamie being in town. Sunday night, after the retreat I went to my sister’s for Pita Inn and to watch 24: Redemption. Oh Jack, how I have missed you! Can’t wait for the new season! Oh, and yes, loved that Jack’s man-bag was in full force for the entire two hours, which included leading a band of children to the American embassy through war-torn country, explosive-hidden jungle, AND getting tourtured by a hot knife on the side of his face. Which obviously did not make any sort of markon his lovely face! Monday I met Jamie and my sister for lunch at Country Kitchen and then Jamie and I shopped/walked around downtown Highland Park for awhile. Such cute stuff at Anthroplogie, sadly not in my budget though.
Anyways, tonight I need to stop by Mac and Benefit for new make up (well technically refills since I am out) plus I am obsessed with this mineral Mac shadow my sister has and need to get it.
Things I am Thankful for today: Ani’s new iTunes exclusive cd, Keifer Southerland, my family, decaf Lady Grey tea, bagels, and 100 caolorie packs.
xoxo
